Inc. magazine today revealed that Kermit is ranked No. 1204 on its annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the U.S. economy’s most dynamic segment – independent small businesses. Intuit, Zappos, Under Armour, Microsoft, Patagonia, and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000.
Kermit saw a three-year growth of 402%, placing them in the 75th percentile of eligible companies.
“Being named one of the nation’s 5,000 fastest-growing privately held companies is a great honor and a direct reflection of the hard work from our talented team,” says Rich Palarea, co-founder and CEO of Kermit. “I am extremely excited as we look at what is ahead for the company. Kermit is positioned for even greater growth in 2021 and beyond, all with the goal to help improve the financial health of our nation’s hospitals by utilizing technology to reduce implantable medical device spend.”
Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found at www.inc.com/inc5000. The top 500 companies are featured in the September issue of Inc., which will be available on newsstands on August 20th.
“The 2021 Inc. 5000 list feels like one of the most important rosters of companies ever compiled,” says Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc. “Building one of the fastest-growing companies in America in any year is a remarkable achievement. Building one in the crisis we’ve lived through is just plain amazing. This kind of accomplishment comes with hard work, smart pivots, great leadership, and the help of a whole lot of people.”
Kermit’s inclusion on the Inc. 5000 is only a starting point for the organization which is poised for aggressive growth in the coming years. In 2021, Kermit has already greatly expanded its team, adding nine new staff including a Chief Growth Officer and a national sales team with additional positions actively being recruited.
“After years of perfecting our offering, managing 40% of the implant spend in the state of Maryland, and saving our Mid-Atlantic hospitals tens-of-millions in annual spend, we know we have an impactful product to bring to all of our nation’s hospitals,” says Palarea. “The team we have assembled – from our expert strategic advisors to our software developers, support staff, and sales and marketing team – has unparalleled industry knowledge to guide any hospital toward meaningful savings in implantable medical devices.”
